J&J Boring, Inc. is a family-owned company dedicated to providing quality horizontal boring and tunneling services. Since 1983 we have successfully and safely completed over 1000 trenchless tunneling projects. We have never failed to successfully complete a project.

Our owners and field personnel have over 150 years of combined experience in the field of tunneling, boring and pipe jacking. We bring our passion about quality, safety and teamwork to all projects we do.

While we typically work as a subcontractor, providing tunneling services to other contractors, we also do turnkey boring and tunneling projects. Much of our work is done for water lines, sanitary sewers, storm sewers and other utilities, but we can handle any project requiring trenchless tunneling or boring.

We do all types of trenchless tunneling projects, from pipe jacking to microtunneling. We are equipped to handle casing diameters ranging from 8 inches to 12 feet.

Rock boring is one of our specialties. We have the specialized equipment necessary for boring through hard rock formations. Our licensed blasters have over 50 years of combined experience and can handle any blasting necessary for a tunneling project.

We also handle boring and tunneling projects in difficult soil conditions, such as ground containing gravel, cobbles or excessive ground water.

At J & J Boring, Inc. we enforce rigorous safety and drug policies and are committed to the safety and well being of our employees. We require and support participation in various safety training courses including: OSHA 10-Hour, competent person, first aid, CPR, confined space training and 40 hour hazardous materials and emergency response training. Over 90% of our field personnel are OSHA 30 certified.
